Our story
Half a century of building, across three continents
Saraylı Petrol İnşaat ve Ticaret A.Ş. — the first and leading company of the Saraylı Group — was established in Istanbul in 1970 as an international oil company, and has made its name with large, high-technology international projects from the very beginning of its activity.
In 1971 the company entered the construction sector and founded Ersa İnşaat Proje Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (ERSA), carrying its work onto the international stage with turnkey engineering–procurement–construction projects in Ukraine, Greece, Nigeria, Georgia and beyond, and earning a superior position among international Turkish contractors.
In the 1980s ERSA directed its international activities to the Russian Federation and the CIS through its subsidiaries. In 1991 — only one year after the collapse of the Soviet Union — ERSA was awarded a contract in Turkmenistan, one of the first Western companies operating in the region. Through the 2000s the Middle East and North Africa came into focus, and ERSA became Turkey's leading superstructure and infrastructure contractor at home and abroad.
Today ERSA performs on three continents with more than 10,000 technical and administrative personnel, a strong machinery and equipment park and deep financing capability. As the core company of the Saraylı Group — nearly ten subsidiaries and partnerships with a value of over one billion dollars — ERSA holds a project portfolio and ongoing project stock exceeding five billion dollars.
